We are a single purpose institution dedicated to preparing a ministry particularly for African-American churches, but also for the church in general. We offer only one major, Scriptural Studies. Our purpose is to prepare the ministry of the church. We recognize, however, that the ministry takes a wide variety of expression and so attempt to offer considerable flexibility in the exact parameters of the programs of individual students.
Each student will work with his advisor
in developing his program which will include a minimum of
128 or 129 semester hours of study. In general the courses
listed in the suggested programs of study will be included
in the program, but modifications are permitted with the approval
of the student’s faculty program committee. The Bachelor of Arts in Ministry program
has as its foundation a core of classes that every student
needs to successfully complete. These core classes include
42 hours of Scriptural Studies (SS), 18 hours in the Ministerial
Area (MA), 15 hours in History (HI), 12 hours in English (EN),
