Carolina Christian College is located
on a beautiful, gently rolling and wooded 27-acre campus adjacent
to a lovely residential neighborhood on the northeast corner
of the city of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This city, along
with Greensboro and High Point, make up the famous "Golden
Triad", the largest metropolitan area in North Carolina,
located in the heart of the beautiful Piedmont.

African American
Historical Cultural Guide
Rich in History, Alive with Culture
On behalf of the residents of
Winston-Salem, I'd like to welcome you to our home. We're
very proud of the many contributions generations of
African Americans have made to the city's economic and
cultural well-being. We hope you too will be inspired by
the stories behind the names and monuments you encounter
while
visiting
our city.
Of course, there isn't enough space on this site to
acknowledge every individual. So we encourage you to
explore and chat with the people you meet during your
stay. Visit Diggs Gallery on the campus of Winston-Salem
State University. Take a seat for a performance by the
North Carolina Black Repertory Company or enjoy a
down-home meal at a neighborhood restaurant. Better yet —
take a peek into one of our beautiful old churches.
If you've got time for outdoor fun, this site has
suggestions for reunion planners and sports enthusiasts.
Our parks and recreation facilities frame the natural
beauty of the Piedmont foothills, and the Winston Lake
Golf Course is one of the most challenging in North
Carolina.
In fact, no matter where the setting or whatever your
pleasure, we're sure you'll find something to enjoy in
Winston-Salem.
